EXPLORING PARIS | DAY 6

After the chaos of Day 5 and staying up so late to watch the fireworks at Disney and get the metro home, we had a very chilled out morning today.

We got up and had a lovely breakfast and slowly got ourselves ready, feeling no need to rush. We headed out to do some more shopping, we visited some charity shops and Will got himself such a lovely Moncler coat for the winter. It was lovely to have a look around and by the time we were finished it was time to go back and get some dinner.

After dinner we decided this was our night to go up the Eiffel Tower! We headed over there around 8ish and joined the queue, which was nowhere near as long as it was on Saturday night and we were climbing up within an hour! There were 704 steps to climb to the second floor then from there you could only get a lift right to the top.

We managed to get to the second floor pretty quickly, I was so out of breath! We then hopped on the lift and flew to the very top. The view from there was absolutely stunning, you could see the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Sacre Couer and all of Paris' hotspots. It was an amazing view and I was instantly in love with Paris. At five to ten, the tower started sparkling whilst we were on top of it and it was so cool to see the flashes down below of people taking videos and pictures. What an experience. We even had a glass of champagne when we reached the top.

By the time five to eleven hit, we were sitting at Trocadero watching it sparkle from there and it was even more stunning watching it. I couldn't believe it! It sparkles every hour from 9:55pm to 1:55am.

We then went for a couple of drinks afterwards at a bar near the tower, we even had the chance to see it sparkle at 11:55 as it was within our view from the restaurant. At around half 12 we headed home to bed, it was such a great experience and I will definitely treasure it forever.

Thank you so much for keeping up with these blog posts and I really hope you've enjoyed reading them. I've had an amazing time in Paris with Will and hopefully, our next trip won't be long away!

Until next time...
